We will be promoting the auction at the Glenmoor Gathering in Canton, Ohio next weekend (Sept 13th and 14th). With posters and one of the pedal cars.

Edit: Good comments on the pedal car event this weekend at Glenmoor. Good show too - a bit soggy on Saturday for the tour, but the sun came out on Sunday. Many gorgeous cars.

I'm really slow out of the starting blocks, but it's nearing completion. These photos illustrate how much nicer the original car looks if it's been lowered.
The car is now painted black, with a deep burgundy hood. Also, the basket weaving has been applied as per my original design. Dashboard has been installed and the steering wheel has been lowered.
Final sanding and some clear paint this week, then onto the leather interior.

Yes, looks awesome West!

And Wayne, I don't have a pic of West in a pedal car, but I do have one of our employee Shawn playing with the Comet before we took it apart...

I can't get over the chassis behind the little Duesenberg SSJ, let alone the quality of the work being displayed here.

Thank heavens there are still folks out there building up to a quality and not down to a price.

and don't forget Mr Earls pinched front Fedora hat laying on the hood.
Can't wait to see this car finished. But is it really going to be RED? If so get ready for an earthquake, ol' Harley was a pretty big man...he'll probably shake the ground when he starts trying to turn over......

The following is a link to the pictures of our Y2Kid pedal car which is now on display at Hershey. The car is painted the same tri-coat burgundy paint as the Buick Blackhawk that we built and even uses the same leather that we had left over.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Steve,

Dale and I saw your car at the preview today - it looks gorgeous! I love the foldaway seat. Let's hope for big numbers!

Is RM or AACA going to publish the results of the pedal cars, or perhaps just the top three, and what the total was for the total of all of them going to the museum? And perhaps the photos of all of them?

Here is the link to auction results.

Pedal Car Auction

It is amazing at the variance in selling prices. Be sure to click on the description of a pedal car and an information sheet with selling price will open.

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale in the RM Auction in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this truly is another work of art. Wish it was mine!
