Willing to pay any reasonable or even slightly unreasonable amount for 4 restorable hubcaps for a 1937 GMC 3/4 Ton. We are restoring a Boyertown bodied Rescue Truck that is still owned by the Rescue Squad that purchased it new in '37. Thanks!

There are several Chevrolet and GMC parts vendors. I purchased a set of hubcaps for my 50 GMC from one for about $110. Brand new repops. Now, I can't believe there is much actual difference between 1937 and 1950, whether in wheels or caps. The GMC script had appeared on GMC trucks from the 30's to the 1954, at least.

Where did you buy your caps? Jim Carter does not list them with GMC scripts. I suspect there is quite a bit of difference between '37 and '50.

I doubt there would be much difference. You may have to call Jim Carter or one of the other Hemmings listed suppliers. I got mine fromJim Carter for $110, about two years ago. The 50 GMC I had - I gave the guy all my catalogs BUT I also had a 46 GMC and so I had the 36-46 (?) catalog and recently just tossed that one. Worth a call - if you are having this hard of a time getting them. Try the Antique Truck magazine as well - classifieds. I subscribed to that magazine for one year - nice for trucks. I am going off memory on all of this because my literature is all gone. I know the scripts were the same for years and years and my 50 caps fit the 46, which had the body style from 41-47. So why would GM change whells up on the 1/2 tons from mid 30's to 50's? I doubt they did - that's all I am saying. I might come downt oactually getting some and putting them on for fit or if you want to make sure, then you will need to contact truck gurus like you would find in that Antique Truck magazine. Soeone in there would know 100% for sure. All I know is I had caps good for 1941 to 1954 at least.
