41 Continental Cabrolet Body #18

Still adding it up, like Bill, I am doing all of my own work except the interior, top and chrome. Interior and top around 10,000. Chrome done years ago, 1500, the Grill is NOS, but will need redone and I hate to think about that one.

Just now finishing up the final fine body work and getting ready for paint. WOW, has that stuff changed over the years. By the time that is finished, I'll probably have 1500 or so just in materials.

If I had to guess a total, probably close to what Bill has in his. Been working off and on since 74 on mine and I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

1942 Continental coupe.
Finished in 1985: Roughly $25,000 professionally, which included finding and replacing a V12 engine, hot-air heater, air cleaner, etc.

so far about $500, but I've only had it a few months and have quite a ways to go.... (though I have a great starting point, it was frame-offed in the late 70's/early 80's -- and though that seems somewhat recent in my mind the calendar tends to disagree with me...)
