Howdy:

I'm new to this forum and this is my first posting. I am restoring a 1955 Ford F100 pickup and would like to determine the original paint scheme using the VIN number. I've tried all the on-line VIN search sites with zero results. Can anyone assit me using the following VIN: F10D5R33316.

TIA

Rick in Oregon

Paint code is not included in the VIN. Is there a metal plate (warranty or patent plate) rivited to the door or somewhere in the door opening on the drivers side? I don't know if Ford used such a plate in 55, I know they did back to at least 58 or 59. Anyway, there would be a second series of numbers on that plate that would contain the paint code.
