fairlanegtone has a photo in the photo galery of what he is calling a 40 Ford Deluxe. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is a Standard. My dad bought a 40 Deluxe new and I drove a 40 Standard in high school. They didn't look the same. The grill and hood are different among other things.

This a 1940 Ford Deluxe I recently purchased. It has been in a 2 car attached garage for the last 41 years.

The car is a 40 DeLuxe. The Standard grille is more like the 39 DeLuxe grille.

I was refering to the photp that Fairlanegtone has in the photo galery. He calls it a Deluxe but it is a standard.

Huptoy, Did you get the car home? I'd like to see it in person.

The car has been moved to a friends garage until it can be driven. The fuel tank and radiator were drained 10 years ago when he stopped driving it around the back yard with the grand children. It has not been on the road in 41 years.

The engine starts and runs. It needs a carb rebuild kit, plug wires, master & wheel cyl kits, and generally any thing rubber replaced. I don't expect to get it home for 3 to 4 weeks.
