Not sure if I've posted these here before.

Our speaker at last years LCOC annual meeting was a designer that worked on the beautiful '61 Lincoln Continental.

These are the pictures he brought with him.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Very interesting. Were the 58-60 body styles just proposals for the 59-60 Lincolns?

Thank goodness the 61 Lincoln Continental came out the way it did!

I believe that those designs are the direct result of design by committee.

BTW, the '61 slab side was actually a Thunderbird proposal.

Elwood Engle directed those designs ('61 Continental) didn't he?

The '58-'60 is just such a baroque behemoth. Neil Young is having his converted into a hybrid that will get 100 mpg.
