Im trying to locate a gas tank for my 40 olds.2 door sedan I have talked to tanks inc. and nobody knows any cross over from other GM cars the filler neck is on the left fender and my car has a tire well behind the back seat. I could cut it out and make it flat but not my first choice. any help would be great!

Can't say what will fit, but keep in mind filler necks, pipes, inlets, outlets etc are just soft soldered into the tank it self. It's relatively easy changing or modifing that stuff if you find a tank that fits the space you have. Filler necks can also be cut and joined with a section of rubber fuel hose to help the fit.
Be sure you inert the tank thoroughly if you go that route and take a torch to it.......Bob

I got the tank for my 42 olds from tanksinc. (B1 Tanks) and I got the B2 tank. The filler neck was only about 1/2" off but is off set by the filler neck etc that came with the tank. That tank was the same overall size as my orig. 42 tank.. give it a shot..
