Any body have a very good rear panel for a 67? I've sent out the 2 best ones I had to platers and they were butchered by the process. They don't seem to be able to not round off all the edges and get the chrome to flow without fisheyes and waves so I guess its time to give up making them new. I'll go out on a limb and figure NASA will be on Mars before I find an NOS so.....?

I can always ask what someone wants for one if you know if ones available. Do I need to have a defibulater on standby?

I spoke with the gent that owns the NOS taillight panel and he said he would consider $5000.00. I have found a chrome shop that will rechrome them but be readt to spend about $1500. to $2000. for the replate and the panel cannot have any pits in it.

We probably know the same guy if he's in WI! That's what I'll have in the interior including door panels that look brand new. Oh well. I had a very nice example that went to a shop that ads in Hemmings and it still was wrecked. The reason I'm told, is the crummy filler metal used really only gets one shot at being plated and so when stripping the old finish off, the crappy stuff dissolves and all the detail is lost. Heck, it sounds logical to me but what do I know. If I ever try to have this done again with what I think is a good core, for 2K, it would have to be on the stipulation that I don't pay a thing if it doesn't come out to my satisfaction. That's alotta dough!
