I am working on a 48 Super that has a new Borg & Beck? finger style clutch in it. I can't get both free-play and a fully dis-engaging clutch. Does the lever arm height on the equilizer have to be increased for more travel or am I doing something wrong? I walked into the middle of this project and am not familiar with the steps involved with the conversion.

You probably need a different clutch release (throw out) bearing that has a shorter or longer reach or change the fulcrum location of the release arm...maybe one from the Chevrolet(?)
