Exactly correct Ghosty... I am in the process of replacing the passenger rear window/motor so the tire/jack storage needs to come out. Here's what the shop manual says as far as removing the trim pieces prior to removing the tire storage...
1) remove side trim panels mounting nuts (2) and central mounting nut (3) located inside the tonneau under the carpet.
(hmmm...no carpet in MY tonneau storage..)
2) Remove side trim panels by levering with a screwdriver taking care not to damage the finish.
3) remove the central panel.
4) removes speakers.....
Whoa!! stop the bus Hoss...I think they missed a few steps there at the end of #2... remove door striker / remove rocker panel trim piece/remove striker stainless trim piece/remove 2 nuts behind striker panel. TRIM PIECE NOW CAN BE REMOVED...
jeesh....of course I cheated a little and didn't fully remove the stainless piece

just moved it enough to get at the nuts. Dontcha just love clear concise instructions...lol
Well on to removing the rest of the interior parts tomorrow...
p.s. As long as I have my door posts removed, does any one know where I can get replacements that don't have the nylon sleeve all chewed up??
