I just found the brown builder's plate for my '89 loose in the glove box - the stamped metal plate which gives the vehicle's weight and tire pressures...

Where is this supposed to be mounted?

Thanks,
TT

I'm in Genoa, about 15 miles north of DeKalb.

Funny too, I found the TC with a 'for sale' sign on it 1 block away from my house, and the year before, my brother and I picked up a '85 ½ Laser XT 2 blocks away...not too often you see a pair of very limited production Turbo Mopars that close to home - especially when 'home' is a very small town of only a couple of 'thousand or so...

TT

ps; Any anyone who can confirm the location of the plate, perhaps with a pic would be great...

TCToad is correct. The 89 is in the RH corner closest to the passenger. The 90 , however , has the airbag sticker there and the plaque is on the LH side of the door. Here's pics of both.

Ok, I noticed that the plate was gray on the gray interior, and reddish brown on the maroon interior.. Is the plate tan colored on the ginger interior. My plate is reddish brown for my ginger interior color...Do I have the wrong colored plate...Can someone confirm the plate color for the ginger interior!

I just checked both my cars------ Cabernet with ginger interior has a silver colored mfg plate on the driver door frame as does my 90 red, ginger interior. My 89 has a brown plate in the glove box noting air bag info---------- My 90 has a black plate in the glove box noting air bag info.
It looks like there was no standard placement, The Italian working on the car at the time of placement seems to have decided what goes where.

Thanks for the good info and pointing out one of those little 'quirks' with a hand-built car...I'll look closer when's a little warmer outside and see if I can find any trace of glue on the lid put it back where it belongs!
