Andy, you might check in at the LCOC site. Lots of action there and these type of Lincolns seem to be their favorite. I owned 4 of this type Lincoln, '61,'64,65, and a '67. They are excellent cars besides being beautiful. There were some weaknesses ( timing gears) but all in all a nice ride. The '68's came initially with the 462 cu/in engine used in '67 and then changed fairly early to the more modern 460 cu/in engine. I think the 460 engine would be the more desirable due to the fact that it can be more easily adapted to run on modern no-lead/low octane fuel. This engine was used thru the '70's and into the '90's on trucks so components from these engines are readily available. The 430's and 462's needed the high octane, leaded fuel altho if driven "lightly" might be okay? I'd sure remove those strips on the doors and front fender, they ruin the look in my opinion. I never forgave them for removing the star ornament on the hood! The one across the the front panel just didn't do it. I like seeing it from behind the wheel. Anyway they are great cars. Dee
