Just back from the Melbourne dual meet. Can't say enough about the quality of cars, the organization of the meet and the weather. What a nice pair of shows! Even with 300+ cars on the field on Friday and 400+ on Saturday traffic flowed smoothly. One of the best organized meets I've ever judged. My compliments to the Cape Canaveral Region.

My dad was there and the one thing he commented about when I talked to him on the phone was that if your car was there Friday, you were parked in the same spot Sat. They only had to layout the field one time.

I see the list of winners from the AGNM on Friday 14 March 08 posted on this web page. Are the winners from the National meet on Saturday 15 March 08 posted any where?

What was even better was the fact that Judge's breakfast started at 8am, yet if you got there at 7:30 you could grab your breakfast, sit down and eat it, rather than wait until 8am and then stand in long lines.
I hope more judge's breakfast go this way.

Even though the Judges's Breakfast is announced with AACA at 8 AM, I always schedule it with the hotel at 7:30 AM. So the hotel thinks it is at 7:30 AM, and then when judges show up, they can go ahead and get their food. It works out for everybody.
Regarding the Results from Saturday's National Winter Meet, I expect they will be posted very soon. There may have been a couple of issues that had to be resolved before posting.

Yeah that is a great idea Art. I'm going to try to do the same thing with our meet when it comes.

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
