Can anyone help with either original felt or modern rubber oil seals for the front and rear hubs for my 23-6-45.

Any help appreciated

See if you can cut some from a furnace fuel filter. The kind that are made up from felt rings and only sell for about $3 or $4 bucks. Also how did you make out with the starter generator??? Dave!

Dear Dave:
Would you be so kind as to post your engine and frame numbers here so I can add them to my files of Buick/McLaughlin information? Also, IF your car is a McLaughlin, the McLaughlin serial number on that plate.
Thanks, Dave Corbin

Dave,
The chart in Dave chamber's article shows that 23 and 24
on the 118 and 120" wheelbase use the same seal 2-5/16 x3-3/8 x 5/8, Chicago rawhide #526. The front seal, all 23
& 24 plus 25-28 Master Ch. Raw. #601, 2-5/16 x 3-7/8 x 3/8
Bob's Automobila list seals for the 24-28 which seems to be
the same as 23.

Hi Dave

The chassis number is 64340 and I believe the engine number is PX5883 but I have not had the covers off to check it is correct. When I do I will get back to you. I have not found any plates relating to the body but it is reasonable to assume it was manufactured in Australia and I guess by Holden, again if I do eventually find anything I will let you know. See you at Hershey again this year.

Regards
