i am restoring a 76c - the steering wheel on my car is broken- i want to put on my spare. i removed horn ring and main nut. i have a puller but the horn contact wire is in the way of the center. how can i remove the wire. or get the steering wheel off. - thanks - any help on this would be helpful.

Loosen the center nut half way, but don't take it all the way off. Put a piece of metal over the nut for the puller screw to bear against.........Bob
