West and Steve. GREAT issue. Fantastic cover shot. Not so thrilled with the inside back cover, but it does break with convention so that's also a plus............Bob.

Must be the graffiti. I can't wait until someone translates that graffiti and informs us that it's extremely vulgar. I have to admit I kinda' wondered about that backdrop also.

It's the juxtaposition of a very beautiful car with a very ugly back drop. My first reaction was negative but the more I studied it the better I liked it. Sort of a Beauty and the Beast. Cars are conventionally "posed" with "pretty" back grounds ergo my comment. The fact that I've gone back and actually studied it and thought about it is a compliment. Keep up the excellant work, West..........Bob

I've seen many very nicely restored cars photographed in front of dilapidated buildings. In my opinion, it actually accents the car and gives it a more "real" setting. To me, photographing pretty cars in front of pretty buildings makes for a photo that is too "cutsie." Thanks for the comments, Bob.

Just don't try to get away with a cover shot of a "Rat Rod" in front of the Taj Mahal. ..........Bob

West, I'll have my Gang Unit Sergeant check it out and I'll get back to you. We normally only photograph graffiti as evidence for court.

It was a beautiful, "artsy" and subdued front cover. I liked it.

West, just so you know, I didn't see Bob Malley's bus go on the block at Barrett Jackson. Bob's wife has been very ill, and I haven't seen or talked to Bob since October. I don't know if something has changed, or if Bob gave me the wrong date.

I've been in the printing-publishing trade for over 40 years(!) and the Antique Automobile is one of the nicest looking publications that I've seen. It seems to get better with each issue.

Thanks Bob, the credit as always goes to our great magazine staff and editor. My job is to keep the business of the magazine going and to keep West "honest" and avoiding him getting too big a head! . We really do spend a bit of time covering the content and insuring the quality of the printing. This front cover was a challenge as the photo was taken towards sunset apparently. Thanks for all the praise everyone...getting kudos from someone in the printing world is high praise indeed!

West, the Sergeant agreed with my assessment and said that, while she would have to know what state the "art" was located in, and get a slightly better view of it, it appears to be simple "tagger's" work instead of the work of a hard core gang banger. So, I guess you are off the hook this time.

Okay. I can wipe the sweat from my brow. The "art" is from northeast Ohio. Kent, to be exact.

I think all 4 cover shots are great. The front outside taken at or near sunset only serves to enhance the picture. The bomber in the background lends itself to the whole picture, both the plane and the car reflect on days gone by.
Steve and West....KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, I look forward to each and every issue.

Thanks, Stevo Moskowitz always shovels the credit to me, but truth be known, I rely on him heavily, as well as from behind-the-scenes help from Sis Howard.

I knew I'd forget someone. Sorry Earl. My point is I certainly don't do this alone. Kim Miller in the Library also helps out tremendously, and it seems that every time I ask for even the littlest things from anyone at HQ, it always gets taken care of before I need it.

I had occasion to have some dealings with Kim a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that she is absolutely fantastic, efficient and wonderful.

If you are coming to the Annual meeting at Philadelphia be sure to get some "kisses" from Kim Miller at the Library booth in the Trade Show area. Plan also to attend the Library Seminar on Friday at 11:30- 12:45 where you can enjoy learning what the Library offers to all of us in the hobby. It will also provide a panel to verbally and pictorially demonstrate why we should do as West does to use the AACA Library for verification and authentification. What a treasure we have as members, all of that research and KIM!

West, that's supposed to be our little secret!!!! Wayne, I hate to break your heart but I think the secret is out I've seen Kim offer kisses to lots of people at the L&RC.. even total strangers, right there at her desk. And if the person really likes the kiss they get from Kim, she'll offer to give them another kiss.

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
