The AACA Activities Committee has just announced a list of meets and tours available for 2009!

It's not as far away as you may think, as much planning is necessary to host an event. But, be aware that the Activities Committee and the AACA are well prepared to help your region in any way it can to make your event pleasurable to all attendees!

Here is a listing for 2009 that is still OPEN.

SOUTHEASTERN FALL MEET;
WESTERN SPRING MEET;
VINTAGE TOUR;
WESTERN DIVISIONAL TOUR;
CENTRAL SPRING MEET
EASTERN SPRING MEET

Thanks, Joanna Cooper and Activities Committee

Wayne 98ex from the Rochester region was talking about a spring meet, 09 would be perfect for them and close to me. Just think two meets in one year less that 200 miles away,heck I could allmost push the car that far. No gas no problem. I wonder if I could talk my club into it again???

Has the location been set for the 2009 and 2010 AGNM's. If so, where are they?

Wayne,

Is there a document somewhere that defines, geographically, which states can host a "Southeastern",
"Western", "Central" and "Eastern" event?
Looking through some of my old AACA magazines I get confused by what states equate to these directional designations.

2009 = Kansas
2010 = North Carolina

Im a gluton for punishment Wayne, I sent a e-mail to our car show chairman,he told me to bring it up at our meeting next week. Sounds like he might be agreeable. I know our executive director reads this forum,what do you think Steve?? We should have everything still in place. Want to see if we can beat 500 cars??

go for it!
Steve

Here is the URL to a map in the online AACA Policy and Procedures Manual showing which states make up the Eastern, Southeaster, Central, and Western Divisions.

Hope this helps.

Bruce,

Thank you so very much for the link to the map.
The map is very helpful when it comes to understanding the AACA geography.

We're looking at 2010. Right now most of the hotels are already booked for 2009.

Not a problem Dick, I was just making it known that we're looking at 2010. I don't want to see someone else put in for 2010 so we lose the 2010 meet, and I also don't want someone not want to take the 2009 meet. In either case, there is no one thinking that 2009 was taken at this point.

Personally I'd like to see the region out of Syracuse take the 2009 meet. I drove 140 miles to your meet in 2007, we could both drive about 70 miles in 2009, and then in 2010 it could be your chance to drive 140 miles in my direction. grin grin grin

Any of you can find out everything you ever wanted to know about AACA Policy, Tour structure, Divisions, Meet structure, on and on by going to the yellow line across the top of the opening page of this Web Site. Then space over to Publications, then scroll down to Policy & Procedure Manual. You'll also see other items as you scroll down like the Rummage Box, Editor's Manual and more.
