after replacing the cps,ipc,ecc,hvac programmer,bcm,ecm,derm.

the dash(ipc) reads error 00 and the ecc has 3 dashes on it.
everything else works fine on the car and it runs fine.

this all started when i touched the battery cables in reverse for 1/2 a second.

i've gone through all the troubleshooting and i am just pissed that it wont work. all the fuses and links are good there is data line varying voltage everywhere on the data line..


WHAT CAN BE DOING THIS?????????????????????

My son had a Trofeo with a bad dash. In researching that car I ran across a group that rebuilds Reatta dashboards. Fortunately he does not have the olds anylonger, unfortunately I don't have links to the web sites anylonger either. Maybe a Google search would bring something up?

Thanks for posting the repair. That was not the case for that Olds. Of course GM could get you a rebuilt dash unit , for 900 + $$$...
