I have a 57, 371 motor, using a Slim Jim lower bellhousing. Stock starter no longer fits, hits the block. Did the slim jim require a different starter with an offset for the solenoid to clear the block?
Im not using the slim jim, IM converting to a 700R4 with a conversion kit but it isnt working with the stock flywheel, so IM trying the smaller flywheel with the slim jim bellhousing.
