I'm on my third winter project for my 32 Packard coupe roadster. The car was acquired in the fall of 05. I considered it a very sound driver with about 40K miles. The car paint was vry sound and a lot had been done already. The first winter was just chroming a few things etc. 2nd winter was a complete interior restoration, new wiring harness, rechrome headlights. This winter is detailing the engine compartment which is about the only thing left to do. Most people though I was crazy to even do anything.

Anyway, here are pictures of when I first got it. Ignore the pictures of the T-Bird. That was a rolling rstoration done over 7 years. Done to concours except the engine compartment.

Here are pictures of the second winter project

I have no plans to show it at an ACCA event. I drive it about 1500 miles a year. When I do show up at a local hot road cruise in, it does get its share of attention.

I'm into stock and driving, but I understand everyone as different ideas of what they want from plastic kit cars, to wild modded street rods.

I also think there are a lot less stock cars around, so that will help keep the values up a sthere is a smaller crowd chasing those cars.

As far as doing a full ground up restoration, I don't think I woudl have the patience. I like to do a winter project and then drive my cars in the spring/summer/fall which is about 6 months in Oregon.
