I haven't run into this set before. Any clues?

Is there a number inked on the rear of the speedometer and maybe a photo of the back of the cluster?

444317 for sure on the oil gauge, possibly 441130 on the fuel. It's odd, because it has that SW Pilot series style to it, but to have that top needle start like some of their 1936 1937 speedos, and the round pilot style set-up is really unusual. The gauge backs are all steel. This ones a new one on me, Greg.

I have a listing of gauge numbers but nothing on the 444317. I have a gauge face number of 441130 (oil) for a 1950-51 Checker cab and a 441133 (gas) for a 1950-53 Studebaker truck. Your cluster looks older than that, but sometimes you never know.
A speedometer make and possibly a number on the back would help. I have many old Northeast, Stewart Warner, and AC speedo numbers and what they fit.
If it is a MotoMeter speedo then I have no references on those.

It's all Stewart Warner, speedo as well. Unfortunately, there are no numbers on the speedo. I also have reams of numbers for SW, but the speedo's are the only ones I have in order. I have no familiarity with Checker, so that is a possibility

I think the odd thing about this set is it's all in one gauge set-up, like 36 Plymouth and late thirties Zephyr. That was unusual in this time frame (early 50's Nashes were an exception)

Greg, try looking up Stewart Warner 542 RR6. I found it stamped on the side. I couldn't find the cross on it in my stuff, maybe your lists?

I don't show any Stewart Warner speedos with a 542 prefix. It's probably a housing part number. Normally an SW would be a 3 digit number followed by one or letters inked directly on the rear of the case.
I am convinced it is from a late 1940s or early 1950 car or truck.
6 volts for sure (pre 1956) but the turn signal arrows incorporated in the face head me toward 1950s. The SW numbers you gave me (441....444....) are 6 digit SW indicating 1950-1955.
I am at a loss here.
Too bad, too. It looks unused!

Thanks anyway. I know from the code that it's 1948, about what I thought. I got frustrated and threw it on ebay!
