I need to rebuild my power booster for my 1956, its a Treadle Vac. I know of a power booster rebuild shop that can do it for $350 CDN.
A rebuild kit is available from Fusick and Kanter. I want to try and do it myself, has anybody rebuilt one and if so how difficult is it to do? Anything to watch out for? Any speical tools required? etc...
Thank you for your reply..
Dave

Awhile back I wanted to rebuild one. If I remember correctly The kits from Kanter didn't have the all parts to do both the booster and master cylinder. I have my units rebuilt by Ed Strain in Pinellas, FL. He does a good job, guarantees them, turns them around in about 2 weeks and charges about $200 USD, which right now is $200 CD. Looking at Kanter's catalog, if all the parts are available it looks like about $134 USD in parts. Unless you like a challenge it looks like a no brainer........Bob
