Someone awhile back recommended using "Flight Jacket" polish made by Shell on the rear tail light lens to remove the oxidation on the plastic. I ordered a bottle last week and it arrived yesterday. I polished the lens today and couldn't believe the difference. It dosn't look like new but close. It is work though, and takes a few good applications. Previously I had tried several other brands including McGuires with little success. Thanks to that previous poster.

I'll have to get some. Meguiar's works for me, but it wears off rather quickly and I have to do it again every other wash

Hmmmm...where can you buy that?? Any Shell gas station?

I've had pretty good luck with some stuff called Novus plastic polish.
They make it by number. #3 is for moderate scratches, #2 is for fine scratches and haziness
and #1 is for anti-static discharging of the plastic after polishing. It's good stuff...you
just have to apply a little bit of elbow grease (and several applications) for best results.
Novus is avaialbe at all Tap Plastics and a website in Tempe Arizona called "tubesandmore.com"

This has been discussed many times.... smile

FYI: It takes me no longer than 4 to 5 minutes TOPS to find a micro fiber cloth, fetch the bottle of Flight Jacket, apply a squirt or two on the micro fiber, rub the entire lens lightly, buff, put the bottle and the cloth away. By all means Shell Flight Jacket is the best in many a mind smile.

Google Shell Flight Jacket, and go to their product store...you will be Happy smile you did....
