I'm wondering on behalf of my employer how much this car would sell for in auction. If you've seen the movie "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane", the car which runs over the young lady is the exact car he owns. If you have any information, please let me know! mbrant27@yahoo.com

The car that Jane (Bette Davis) ran over Blanche (Joan Crawford) with (in a flashback scene) was a much older car (late 20's/early 30's) and a Packard, if I remember correctly. The car Jane drives in the time in which the movie is set (early 1960's) is the Lincoln.

The car in the opening sequence of "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" is a Duesenberg Model J Murphy Convertible Coupe. A similar Model J was featured in Collectible Automobile, Volume 21, Issue 2, August, 2004, and was valued (then) at between $500,000 to $900,000.

Rare as hen's teeth when new (records indicate 60 Murphy Conv. Coupes were produced), in many people's eyes Duesenbergs are the ne plus ultra of all Motordom. But your boss should already know that.
