I managed to get the temp bulb out of the head of my car, tried again tonight and it just came right out, PB blaster must have finally worked, but I have another question, I have a new temp gauge unit thanks to a fellow BCA member but it is slightly differernt from the one currently in the car, there is what appears to be a ground strap on the new one which is not on the one in the car now, any help on how this is to be installed would be appreciated, looked in the repair manual and there is no info on this.
Thanks in advance Don BCA#40498

That is the ground wire for the dash. It screws to the fire wall where that little hole is.

FYI <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />I measured the gap between the cyl head bolt hole closest to the firewall and the fire wall and I get exactly one inch.

Cliff; thanks for the info on both questions, also heading up to Fowlerville this weekend, found some neat parts there last year, hope to again this year.
