I am looking for opinions on Lester tires. I know that they are bias ply and I am not looking for an opinion about bias vs. radial tires just opinions or experiences bad or good about this brand. PM me if you don't want to write any negative comments. Thanks.

I have had good luck with Lester tires and Universal from where we purchased them. I noted that they tend to flat spot a bit when the car sits, but they feel ok after a few miles and have been good touring tires. Also, there is an inquiry and replies on the CCCA "Technical" forum on differnt tires. Carl

Although there was a spell in the late 80s or early 90s when there were apparently some problems with Lesters, I've had nothing but satisfactory experiences with two sets of 7:00 x 17 on my 34 Packard, plus a set of the prior ownership Lincoln Highway Tire Co. Over 40 years and some 45,000 miles with no problems at all.
