Does anyone know of a co. that makes a good fitting wiper motor conversion that uses the original linkage?
I've heard there is a co. that makes one with a "remote" motor you place near the kickpanel.
Anyone know about this?
Thanks

Take a look at Rod and Custom.. There is a company who advertises converion kits.

What is wrong with the original wipers ? If it is slow and non functioning you might be better off just having the wiper motor rebuilt. Ficken Wiper Service in New York does a kick [censored] job of making your wipers seem brand new. The wipers on my 47 work every bit as good as an electric motor. It costs about 70 bucks to get it completly redone but worth every penny. Check them out before replacing yours with electric. http://www.wiperman.com

Installing a "worked" Buick nailhead and I'm not sure I'll be able to get enough vacuum!

I see.. in that case try Newport Engineering 1 800 829-1929 They advertise a replacement motor system specific to the year and model of your car.
So, what did you do to the Nailhead ?
