My father-in-law recently passed away and had a 1930 series 60 coupe with rumble seat and golf club storage door. It is 90%+ restored and he did not finish the last few minor detail due to his failing health. The car is very low mileage. Any guidance would be apreciated.

The Dec. 2004 Old Cars Price Guide places a #3 at $13,200 and a #2 at $23,100. Most nicely restored cars (not trailer queens) are #2. If the workmanship is there, depending what needs to be done, it could be close to a #2. If it is just reassembly / detailing, then it ought to be in the $20k range. However, what some folks claim is 90% is sometimes closer to 50%.

Everything I know is based on the book. I really don't have a good grasp of value for these cars. I'm sure there are others who might be able to give you a better idea. With this rough idea in mind, you may want to consider getting it appraised by the estate before proceeding with a sale.
