hi guys...
I normally spend my time on the buick forum, but a bud of mine has just had a '66 mustang coupe sourced and imported for him, from calif. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

He has asked me to post his chassis no. in the hope someone can break it down and make some sense of it for him!!

Further to the above info....there is a plate on the driver door which has the following info.....
YEAR..65A color.. P DATE..11E DSO..72 TRANS..6 6

Keen to hear back boys., on the breakdown on this information

Thanks.... Trevor...

He is just keen to know what options the plate will offer, or where it was built <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The no. is..... 6ro7c198127 possibly the 3rd is a zero/or a letter ??

Hope somebody can shed some light on this for him...
Thanks in advance...

Trevor..... '64 Le Sabre....

I was looking at cars for sale and noticed this. In the VIN< if no one has responded yet, 6 is for 66, R means mfd in San Jose (good news) 07 is the coupe
code, "c" is the engine code, meaning 289 2 bbl, six digit # is the unit mfr number. charlie b
