Not literally a Ford question but .... I have a 1925 Rover 16/50, the only one in North America. A week ago I had a tragedy, in that I broke off both blades of the cast aluminum fan (which had in fact been repaired by welding sometime in the past 70-odd years). I have had new blades cast, but I am not confident that I can get it put together and balanced satisfactorily (and I don't want flying fan blades), so I am considering alternatives.
I note that there is a cast aluminum two-bladed fan available for Model A Fords from about 1930
www.mikes-afordable.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=1061, but the photograph there does not reveal much about the mounting arrangement, which in fact seems different from that of the four-bladed steel fan from the same source and apparently for the same model. Can anyone tell me the dimensions of either of these fans, including the size of any central hole and the mounting arrangement? Alternatively, is there a web-site that would show a clear picture of the fan in a 1930 Model A? I am hoping that I might be able to make, or have made for me, an adapter. Balance is an issue because my fan will run up to about 5000 rpm.
