I need to know how to replace the bulb on the rear drivers side running light. From the outside or inside?

If you are talking about the small light on the drivers side rear that is part of the bumper, it removes from the rear side of the bumper.

The side marker lamp, rear. On page 8L-4 of the service manual it shows pulling the molding away from the bumper fascia. I attempted to pull on it but was afraid I would break something. It looks like it is held in by a snap. If this is correct and I have to pull, I will.

No, you need to find the wire from the underside and turn the plasic retainer and then pull the retainer out. On the top photo (figure 4) it shows how to pull the bulb out from the back. If you need to replace the *entire* light assembly you then need to remove the bumper and UNSCREW the molding from the back side. Do not attempt to pull the molding off, as that will ruin it.
Replacing the bulb should take less than a minute.
Hope that helps,
Larry

I tried it from the underside once, moved the muffler over and still couldn't get my average size hand in there, but I will attempt it again.

thanks
