In about two years I am going to buy (or be looking to buy anyway) a Model T touring. Is any one year better than another as a driver, say betwwen 1914-1927. I am looking for usability above all else. Is there anything I should look out for, or any years or years that are "better" than others?

As many people as you ask, that's how many different opinions you'll get. Keep in mind that the Model T didn't come with a self-starter until 1919. So, if that's important to you, then you must consider only 1919 through 1927. Colors were introduced in '26 and '27. The bottom line is, when you start looking at Model Ts, consider the general condition of the cars and try to figure our what's it going to cost to make your new (old) car one that you can reliably drive.
I would look up on the Model T Ford Club of America and Model T Ford Club International websites to find a chapter near you and try to attend meetings and get acquainted with the members. You'll always find someone who will be willing to help you avoid the pitfalls.

Hi, As Roger said, it is almost exclusively a matter of personal taste, I am a big guy 6'4", so I preferred the '26 and '27 roadsters, because I had a little more room in them, and I liked the styling a lot better than the earlier ones, but the early ones look more like what a T is supposed to look like, with the 30" wheels and the "spindly" look, the late ones will ride and drive a skosh better I suppose, but not enough to forego one you like the looks of better, or you get a better buy on, just one old guys opinion, good luck, OC
