i have a 1960 oldsmobile dynamic 88 and it needs a light restoration.
There was a fire somewhere around the engine which cracked the windscreen, burnt out nearly if not all of the electrics and blisterd the paint on the hood.
The water pump needs replacing ASAP, I think the rear suspension needs replacing because the back of the car is quite low compared to the front, the headlining, carpeting and front bench seat needs replacing and the door locks are broken so 2 of the doors wont open from the outside plus the keys were stolen so it need a new ignition etc. I live in the south west UK and I need a bit of help on where to get stuff for this car and prices.
Cheerz

This is a "light" restoration?! I guess it could be worse if all the body panels were rotten and you had a mouse farm in the interior!

Well- look where he is. Sixtys aren't exactly common in the States anymore; I can imagine how scarce they are in UK.
It's like a car buddy at work observed just today- we live in a fairly kind area weatherwise, no salt or corrosives on the roads in winter. A car that WE would scrap as a rustbucket, is a restorable car in the salt belt.
And by the way- my workmate was born in England, raised since age 13 in US and has a Mini for his toy. Cheers, mate!

Chris, look back thru the OCA forums. A fellow in Louisiana is parting a 1960 Ninety Eight sedan that uses same engine wiring harness as your 88, if he'll ship it internationally.
OCA linked you here, but try www.antiqueolds.org. This is the National Antique Olds Club and specialises in pre-1964 Olds. At one time, they had a Sixty Owners chapter.

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
