I have Corel and Parson Technology clip art files and have difficulty finding items that appeal to me. What other collections exist out there? Any of them directed toward the antique auto hobby? Appreciate your comments!
jnp

I almost exclusively use Peter's commercial clip art service Art Today - http://www.arttoday.com/. There is a yearly subscription fee but you have unlimited downloads. There is a lot of car clip and best of all it is identified ? at least by manufacturer but not year. Most commercial clip art just name their clip ?oldcar.jpg?. There is a lot of clip art from the 20s and 30s, which works well for our club. Check it out!
24T42
PS ? I was not paid for this ad. I am just a satisfied customer
We use a lot of the copyright- and royalty-free clipart from the Dover Publications book series. The pictures are clear for copying or scanning. We've found that the variety of choices is greater than any of the CD ROM collections, at least for our purposes. They also tend to be more realistic and less cartoony than most.
On the down side, the pictures are not labelled, so if you want to use them as anything other than fillers, you may be disappointed.
I checked one of the online bookstores (I don't remember if it was Amazon or Barnes & Noble) for someone a year or so ago, and found a few of them offered there for sale. They run less than $10 apiece.
Jan K.
[This message has been edited by JanK (edited 02-20-2001).]

Jan,
You will find the Dover books on Peter's site already scanned. I believe he owns the electronic rights to Dover books. Correct me if I am wrong Peter.
24T42

Without a doubt, the best clipart for antique car newsletters comes from Rutland, VT! Type in "www.classicroads.com/carsoft/" in your browser and you will be amazed!
I have used their clipart in my newsletter since 1994 and can always find something to use. They have modules like "'30s Cars", "Fords", Chevys", but check out "Funstuff". It's a collection of old logos, roadsigns and some other neat things.
They are not expensive and you can buy what suits your needs. I have no business interest here, I am just a very satisfied customer!
Check it out!

------------------
Next time type it without the quote marks and it will become a hotlink like this. www.classicroads.com/carsoft/
