ModelAHal used the term Netphobia to describe the reaction his region president had to the idea of starting a region website. Let's have a thread for the reasons to have a website:
a. Attract new members
b. Advertise meets or other activities
c. Provide a place that family and other can see you and your vehicles.
There are probably dozens of other reasons. Post them here so that we can have a selling point when we give the website presentation at the Annual Meeting.

This is the first year our chapter has been online. We are looking at doing online registration for our car show.
Being on line gives you a place that you can tell others you talk to that have internet access, to go to for more information, pictures of what the club does. We arein the process of featuring a member's car as car of the month. We have apllication forms availiable online. I have had a lot of positive things said about the site. I had one guy that attended our spring show, and was excited when he looked at the pictures from the show and found his VW. He let all the "car nuts" that he works with know it was online.
Hal, from the sounds of it your Pres. isn't online, right? Take time to invite him over and sit down at the computer and show AACA's site. Show him what some of the different chapters are doing online. If you go to Alamance's site, it might take a while to show him everything. There are 20 some pages to it.
