Hello Lou,<BR>the De Vaux Motor Company came from USA. They were in Grand Rapids,Michigan and Oakland, California. They built cars from 1931 to 1932. Made cars with different bodies in 1931 with 6cyl. and 70HP 113" wheelbase and the next year tigethetr with the engine manufacture Continental with a 6cyl/80hp. But then Continental decided to build only enigines as they did before. I happen to have one of these gems,a model<BR>6-75 fourdor -w- dual side mounts. I runs <BR>pretty good but is weak in the brake department(cables oh my!) I am always looking for original spare parts, never to avail.<BR>It seems to be made similar (in method only!)<BR>to an International harvester---alittle of this alittle of that if it don't fit drill it!<BR>It seems a solid vehicle on a remarkably innovative chassis and driveline.<BR>good luck to you in your search the journey is dishartning and fullfilling at the same time. Kevin: The DeVaux was built by the Durant Company and it was short lived. There is a Durant Club which has a lot of information on the DeVaux. I just pulled one of my old news letter and there are nine pages of informatin about the introduction of new cars January 4, 1930 and then a page about the demise and shutdown of the Oakland plan in 1932.
