I'll let the forum determine the age limit... but I assume it'll be limited to the 1915-1920 timeframe?
What does the forum think?
Peter
------------------
Peter Gariepy
Antique Automobile Club of America
peterg@aaca.org

That sounds like it would work. I have a 1910 and a 1914.
Dan

Traditionally Horseless Carriages have been built prior to Jan. 1, 1916.

I like the idea for this forum. One question, you identified this as the HC Foundation instead of the HCCA? Is there an obvious distinction? I also agree that if this is in conjunction with the HCCA or Foundation, the cutoff for this forum should be pre-1916.

This forum is HCFI based for two reasons: 1) I currently host the HCFI site. 2) The HCCA has their own site and forum. I have asked The HCCA Webmaster if he'd like to piggyback onto our discussion forum. He'll get back to me after he speaks with his board.
The brings up another subject. If you know of any other club of website who would like to share in our dicussion forum have them get in contact with me. Thanks!
As to the cutoff year... yes, 1915 is the traditional date but I don't think we need to make it a hard and fast rule here. At least for now.
What does everyone else think?
Peter
------------------
Peter Gariepy
Antique Automobile Club of America
peterg@aaca.org

[This message has been edited by Peter Gariepy (edited 12-12-1999).]

If HCFI has no problem with the extended dates, I certainly don't. The cars in the late teens and early 20's tend to get lost in the sometimes overly rigid dating formats.

Nice to see the Horseless Carriage section. I mean cars up to 1920 will be ok.
Hope to see the HCCA here, too. I am a member of HCCA and own some HCs.
Thomas
------------------
Thomas Borchers
Great addition Peter,
I hope this will be a great discussion and educational forum for us all.
I would welcome all discussion into the late teens and early '20's. I also hope the discussion will stay on a straight line of originality and authenticity.
Rick

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
