My 50 Ford Fordor has (I guess) dealer installed or optioned turn signals. They look will work for the front lamps but someone spliced into the left and right for rear turn signals also. When they are connected they tail lights are commoned so they flash like hazard lights. If I remove the spliced wiring form the tail lights, all seams to work well. Was the 50 Ford intended to have rear turn indicators?

Turn signals, front and rear were an option available from Ford. My '49 fordoor has this option installed on it and works fine. Since the cars came with only parking lites in front and tail lites in back, the sockets have to be changed to dual contacts and use a two filament bulb.
