On your carb, are you adjusting the know on the right hand side of the dash or the IDLE mixture screw on the carb? The knob on the dash should be turned clockwise ALL THE WAY IN (but don't force it) and then opened no more than 1/2 turn in most

Polarity will not be an issue IF you are using an original vibrator. IF the radio has a replacement solid state vibrator then you will have a problem Bill

Hi John, Thanks for the reply. I looked in the manual and found a reference for the intake gaskets. The "pointed" ends of the gaskets should point inward toward the center of the motor". I guessed right and installed them correct
