Doug, I installed a 67 Riviera dual resevoir master cylinder on my ORIGINAL 63 booster, you don't need a 67 booster to make it work, just an o-ring to seal up the vacuum. It's been on my car for 5 years with zero issues. I guess it all depends on h

Did the battery go completely dead at the point before the system started to malfunction? I suspect you need to disconnect the battery and then polarize the generator. Do you have a manual, because it describes how to polarize the generator.

The handle has a "C" spring with ears, on the underside. In fact, window cranks AND door handles have the same setup. You should simply slide the tool under the back, and catch the ends of the "C". When you do, keep pushing str

Yes, ethanol is ethel alcohol. Ethel alcohol is made from plant material, it is whiskey or grain alcohol (moonshine). That which used for anything other than whiskey has additives making it undrinkable (isopropyl and denatured). Methanol is methel

Dear Derek: So far, when I've challenged people to show me another explanation that fits ALL the facts, nobody can. I'm back to my comment about ol' Sherlock. The commonly accepted thing is that the self-shifter is no good. That's disproven by my f

The distributor turns clockwise. Initial spark timing is 5 degrees BTDC. No 1 cylinder is on passengers side of engine. Firing order is; 1-2-7-8-4-5-6-3. Finding the first cylinder on the distributor is going to take a little imagination. Acc

You shouldn't need a proprotioning valve unless you have drum AND disk brakes. Disk brakes require up to 200 psi more than drum for the same stopping power. Disk-disk (front & rear) and drum-drum (front & rear) don't need a proportioning

Ok here it is. Cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7 are on the passenger side, and, cylinders 2, 4, 6 and 8 are on the driver side. With the distributor properly indexed in the engine the terminal for plug #3 should be at the front of the cap and the terminal f

Looks like we have a group of aftermarket hubcaps on the loose! These look like Lyons (Lions) replacement hubcaps. The louvers are neat and reminescent of the Dodge cap from 54 with a v8, not often seen but occasionally show up. Great item to hang on

This looks like a Lyons (Lions) aftermarket hubcap from the early 50's. These were installed by dealers or sold in the aftermarket to dress up the small hubcap cars. Much like we did with wirewheel hubcaps in the past. My vote is definitely NOT DeSot

I have a 1915 C-36 which has the same engine as your C-37. The oil lines run from the pump on the bottom of the engine to the oil flow gage in the dash and then back out of the gage and down to the carburetor side of the crank case. The oil is then f

I've owned several '51-'52 Plymouths and done a lot of research on them. Overdrive came out as a mid-year option in 1952. Overdrive-equipped cars got a chrome 'Overdrive' nameplate on the lower right side of the trunk lid. There was even a revised

Well, I didn't say what the box was for that I cut my divider from: it was a corregated cardboard box that originally contained something like 10 or 12 packages of PAMPERS! You can still read it on the side behind the back seat. LOL
