Dear Derek and Paul: Thanks for the kind words about the Bugle article. It's interesting that Paul mentions drag racing a self-shifter as there's a man who lives right here in Fort Worth that did exactly that about 50 years ago in Michigan and Calif

Thanks for the responses, Rodger, Chris and Rusty. The issue is in fact being caused by the bakelite (?) ring. I jiggled it around a bit (highly technical experiment) and could get the circuit to ground, making the horn blow. As a hunch, after I t

I would assume that the only way is to reach inside the door guts and find where the switch harness plugs into the main harness. Disconnect there. I thought the switch came with a mini harness. I could be wrong, but I just disassembled one and that i

Does anyone know what this nickel plated T-handle goes to or even what it does?? I was thinking some sort of seat adjustment handle maybe? The connection on the end is of the swivel ball and socket type.

On advice from this forum I drained and refilled after about 2 weeks. No damage as of yet. This was about 8 months ago that I did this.
