Just got back from the Fall Charlotte AutoFair where I presented a program loosely titled, "Collecting Miniature Cars." It comes from my perspective of the lifelong pursuit of automobilia, and how it has served me well for nearly 45 years.
What is it?
I have the same wheels on my 1915 C25 speedster, but they are not original to the car. I too would like to know what they are from. They do fit the car, so my guess is a GM automobile. In 1930, Buicks jumped from 31", all the way down to 18

Yes, they both go outside the chassis, with the cable between them. The notched #2 plate helps lock the cable in position and #1 is the cover plate.

...forgot to mention, the seller indicated that the Wonderbar Am radio was recently added, so I know for sure that the car did not come with that option...

I hate to tell you this, but I had the same problem about a year ago. After awhile, the sound got much worst. I had to replace my balancer. My 1988 Reatta has over 277K hard miles and I drive it back and forth to work everyday.
