Tape Deck

Ted,
What year is your Reatta? If it's a '90-91, the radio's easy to replace with a little patience. If it's a '88-89, I'm not so sure what's involved, but I believe it's the same as the '90-91, with the exception of the tabe player. You may just have to live with the tape in the dash and not use it if you want to install the aftermarket radio. Costs? About as much as the radio and a little of your time would bear.
If you'd like, email me for details on the '90-91. I've done some rather extensive mods to mine and have learned the procedure inside and out.
Good luck.

I second Brenda's comments.
The tape deck in my 89 stopped playing and wouldn't eject. Turns out a good cleaning to free up the mechanism and a demagnetizing restored full operation again.
