pschwem
Hello, is anyone familiar with the Chrysler EMT (Expanded Mobility Truck)? I have a friend who currently owns the only existing one and we were looking for any information that we can find on it. Does anyone have anything they would be willing to share, either personal knowledge or documentation? This is a very unique vehicle and information is very hard to come by. Thank you very much.Perry
NTX5467
Is the "expanded" part related to handicapped users or is it more related to "go more places it normally would not" expanded mobility? What year and model?Just curious . . . .NTX5467
pschwem
This was an experimental military truck that Chrysler was developing, real similar to the Hummer. Only a few prototypes were built in the early 70's before the program was cancelled.
Guest Toeasylife
This is what Perry was talking about.it was built by Chrysler defense back in 1978/1979. The door tag says EMT PRO PV1 which to my understanding means experimental military transport prototype vehicle 1.

Specialized Vehicles, Inc.
Keep an eye on Specialized Vehicles, Inc. (SVI) facebook page - we'll post some original photography of the prototype. We conducted along with Chrysler Defense and CMC major suspension refinements, implementation and testing along with working with Duetz Diesel for powertrain integration. Specialized Vehicles, Inc.
