Guest Posted April 27, 2004 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Hello I was wondering if anyone could possible give me the torque specs for the head bolts and intake manifold bolts for a 1986 Cutlass Supreme non high performance motor. I am helping a neighborhood kid put new head gaskets on his car and he saved all his money for head gaskets and a manifold gasket set and now he's broke so he can't aford a manual. ronvb Posted April 28, 2004 Share Posted April 28, 2004 Travis,Torque specs for 307 olds 86-87 are as follows:cylinder heads-- 125 ft lbsintake manifold-- 40 ft lbsexhaust manifolds-- 25 ft lbscarb bolts-- 12 ft lbsI threw the others in because you may need them.Incidently 307 manifolds are infamous for leaking from corners of manifold-usually in the front.Use lots of sealer.Nice of you to help out.ronvb Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
