RivNut
The Edlebrock 1411 is what is called a square bore carburetor and is designed as a replacement for a Carter AFB. The original carb on your car was a Rochester Quadrajet, it's what is called a spread bore. In order to mount the 1411 on the engine, an adapter needs to be used. Not a very good swap. If you want to get back to the original drivability, economy, and performance, you should probably try to find an original carb and rebuild it, or find an Edlebrock 1903. Take a look at both carbs, the 1411 and the 1903, on Google and compare them. You'll notice quite a difference,. GM stopped using the Carter AFB back in the mid 60's and went to the Quadrajet. They pretty much stayed with the Quadrajet until they converted to fuel injection. Edited September 8, 2018 by RivNut (see edit history)
telriv
The last yr. for the AFB was '66. The 1st. yr. for the Q-Jet was '66. You would be definitely doing yourself a mis-favor by using the 1411. Go to V-8 Buick.com & look up Tech8 in Ct. or Carmantx in Texas for the PROPER Q-Jet depending on where you live. Tom T.
