CENTER BUMPER GUARDS OPINION LIKE OR DISLIKE

I have grown to like them, had a 47  -22

series Packard with factory bumper over riders, took 'em off

first thing......now Lincolns, and they seem kinda cool.....let see yours or???

Sorry. Jeff, I have seen them on 40 and 41 Continentals and they don’t float my boat. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Might provide some extra protection in a rear-ender.  I'm not sure what purpose that splash guard between the body and rear bumper serves, but I had to have one.

 Its a stone guard.  It stops any small stones being thrown  up from the rear wheels bouncing off the inside of rear bumper  and chipping the rear body paint.  In the olden days 25 years ago my 38 Zephyr sedan had a few chips there,  wondered why? We still had a few gravel roads,  then I read about the guard in TWOTZ.  When the 38 convertible came along 3 years later  I  fitted mud flaps, [stone flaps] no stone chips on that one. The flaps have the LZ. oval logo in white both pointing to the center of car, looks quite cool.   Sold sedan nine years ago, gravel roads have all but disappeared here  now.
