VIctoredaye
I have just got a 1937 Series 80 Buick McLaughlin here in the UK, it is allegedly Joe Kennedy's car from when he was Ambassador just before the war but I have nothing to verify this. The car is missing some parts and has some that need replacing. Does anyone know of anyone that has a car they are parting out or a supplier that would be able to help? The parts I am looking for are: Both Vent Window frames Right had Grill section (as you look at the car) Grill center stainless trim Radio Hubcap Both front door stainless trim Running Boards - I have read that there is/was someone reproducing these but cant find their details Headlamp rims Interior dome light Front headlining bow. I have a US shipping address if shiping abroad is an issue.
Jack Welch
If you are a BCA member, you may want to look up Jon Henry in Marion Massachusetts or Jesse Morton in Connecticut . Also Bob (Robert) Bolduc in Lowell MA. Hope this helps. Jon and Jesse are also AACA members, so if you don't have a Buick roster , you could find them in the AACA roster. Jack Welch
Steele Rubber products may be able to help you with the running board rubber, if it is only the rubber that you need.
MCHinson
I don't know if the parts you are looking are different from US production or not. If US production car parts will work, the best source for any 1936-1941 Buick parts is Dave Tachey. He is old school and the best way to reach him is by phone call between 4 and 7 pm Central time here in the US. His phone number is 763-427-3460. You can also write him a letter. His address is 11949 Oregon Ave N., Champlin, MN 55316. I am not aware of anyone reproducing the running boards. There are one or two companys in Canda who will reproduce the rubber on running boards. I have no personal experience with them but here is one of their websites: http://www.runningboardrubbermats.com/vintagerunningboards.html
VIctoredaye
Thanks Guys, that's very helpful. I will give those leads a try. As far as I am aware US rim parts should be interchangeable.
1939_Buick
Some Buick McLaughlin parts can be different, especially interior. On the late 30's smaller series wheels can be 6 bolt vs 5 bolt for USA GM Fisher production. For example 1939 s40 s60 hubcaps are different. Some parts will be the same as 40 & 60 series, but others will not. Canadian Buck Club:- http://www.mclaughlin-buickclub.ca/ Download the 1942 Buick shop manual. All of it section by section. The pdf link does not work. http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/manuals/Buick/1942/Shop%20Manual/ It is very comprehensive and has information that can be used with all straight 8’s. It has more information than was included in older “Shop Manuals” before 1942-41

MCHinson
I would also like to invite you to consider joining the 36-38 Buick Club. While we obviously don't know as much about the McLaughlin Buicks as the other club, we have a number of members with them who could probably help you with information, including some with similar McLaughlin Buicks. You can learn more about the club at the following link: http://www.3638buickclub.org/
