STEVE POLLARD
I'm considering showing my 1969 Impala at some point, but to be considered in the HPOF class, does the vehicle must retain all of it's original paint or a percentage ? When I purchased the vehicle 14 years ago, it had 4900 original miles and it looked like the rear quarter might of been touched up at some point in it's life. Other than that, everything else looks original on the vehicle. Thanks
MCHinson
A partial repaint will potentially cause a deduction, but that by itself would certainly not prevent the car from certifying in HPOF. I would encourage you to enter it in HPOF.
61polara
Matt is correct. The partial repaint should only be one deduction. For a 1960 and newer vehicle, up to 6 deductions are permitted to receive HPOF certification.
