Does it have jump seats? It doesn't look long enough to be a 7 passenger sedan. What parts are you looking for? Is it original except for the paint and wheels?

Anyone change the breaking system need help.

If it is original, I recommend getting a factory shop manual. It will explain the brakes.

Yes all original except paint and wheels I want original wheels caps it doesn't have a jump seat I don't think so. I really don't know much about the car my mom and dad drive from Cali to Detroit in one I fell in love with the pics and found me one.

Some info that will help save the Plymouth newb a lot of grief.

#1  6 volt positive ground electrics. This means you need a 6 volt battery and it is connected opposite to modern cars.

#2 Left hand threads on the left side wheels. This means you turn the bolts the opposite way to take them off. But look carefully at the ends of the wheel bolts for an L or R. Sometimes the brake drums get switched.

#3 The brakes were state of the art for the times and work well if properly adjusted. First you have to contour the brake shoe to fit tight in the drum so it makes full contact. Then you have to adjust the shoes correctly, this is a major adjustment and only needs to be done when you reline the brakes or take them apart. After that you do a minor adjustment from time to time to take up wear. Usually once a year or less, or when the brake pedal gets too close to the floor for comfort. The gory details are in the repair manual

#4 Get a repair manual, the factory one is best. They printed thousands, one for every dealership. They turn up on well known auction sites and book dealers. Will save you much money, time and agony so get one ASAP.

#5 Most parts are available from local parts stores like NAPA or your favorite online parts store. Things like brake parts, fan belts, spark plugs, etc etc.  Then there are specialists like Andy Bernbaum that have some of the rarer hard to find parts. Vintage Power Wagons has good deals on engine parts, as the Power Wagons used the same engine as your car.

Good luck with your Plymouth, they are a well made car and not hard to keep in repair once you know how (repair manual remember?). Just keep in mind that there is such a thing as progress and a car that old is not like a brand new model. Keep off the interstate and out of real meat axey traffic and you will be fine. I know people who drive cars like yours regularly and enjoy it.

Hope you have some nice rides.

Yep....that is your standard 6-passenger sedan....not the 7 passenger. Can't tell if it is the Roadking or the DeLuxe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the P-10 Deluxe have front door vent windows while the P-9 Road King didn't?   If that's correct it would corroborate the subject car to be a Deluxe as said by Dom P..
